GERHARD BERGER FIERY CRASH

October 12, 2007 · 1 Comment

This is just one of the most dangerous corners in Monza even though it looks fairly easy indeed. Luckily for Gerhard Berger, he went off very early, before the corner really started and his car didn’t flip and lands upside down.

The other interesting thing to watch here, are the Marshals. They were not out drinking espresso or cappuccino, watching pretty girls or having a snooze. Just count the seconds before they arrive on the scene. Absolutely amazing marshalling. And keep that in mind the next time you see an F1 crash, and you just wonder why they don’t employ these Italian blokes permanently.

Oh, and Mr Berger had some burns to his hands which kept him on the side line for one race, but he is now happily bossing Toro Rosso around with his exiting new driver Sebastian Vettel, and the Multi Champ Car Champ Bourdais joining them next year.

I can’t wait to see who will come out on top. And don’t think for a second that Vettel will be a pushover.
