BEST RACING ACCIDENTS EVER

A bit of a chaotic crash but fun non the less…… 

I won’t be putting many of these crashes on, because I like crashes but only if the driver is unhurt. For this one I make an exception though.

This was the day of Colin Chapman. You know, the brilliant Lotus designer. He died many years before this accident, but apart from being a brilliant designer he also came up with Chapman’s law. If you have 100 accidents nothing wll happen 99 times, the 100th time the accident is nothing different but the driver dies.

And that was exactly my thought, when I saw the after math of this horrendous crash.

If you look at what is left of the car and see the driver, you know there is only one conclusion possible.

He is dead.

But he wasn’t. Just listen to the presenter and you’ll be amazed. Thank you God, for looking out for you MARTIN ON THIS DAY.

Driving for Lotus used to give you one of the best seats in the business. Unfortunately, those were the JPS days and they were long gone.

Didn’t stop Warwick from trying though.

Worse, he tried so hard at the PARABOLICA that he got it very wrong indeed.

Interestingly, he climbed out, ran back to the pits and jumped straight into the spare car as that was still allowed in those days, oh, he obviously had to say hello to Professor Watkins on the way.

Also a great testimony to the strength etc of modern F1 cars.
