You see him going of and it doesn’t seem anything to worry about, but then………………..

This is a big one, at the same corner, bit further down the road, were GERHARD BERGER had his big fiery crash.

And PIQUET is very lucky indeed to walk away with only a whiplash which he kept a secret from his team and the rest of the world till the end of the season so he would not loose his place in this top team.

Suppose it is your very first Formula one Grand Prix.

Alex Wurz has just retired and you have a very fast team mate in Nico Rosberg who might go to McLaren next year.

And then it is pitstop time. It is very easy when you see a good one, like the one in the picture.

But what if it is your very first Grand Prix???

If you get your bearings just slightly wrong that spells disaster.

And when I say wrong, half a meter is very wrong indeed, if you are one of his mechanics.

Our NIGE had a way with words and a way with his right foot. In the year that his WILLAIMS was utterly dominant, he only kept an eye on his teammate PIQUET

And so they entered the last race as the tow main title protagonists.

However, there was this FRENCH BLOKE, you know the type with the BIG nose, driving a McLaren, who was fast and he used his brain. If he couldn’t win on the day, he would just bring his car home second or third. But he made sure he was scoring and scoring and scoring.

So when this happened, he was the laughing third.

But look at the incredible car control by our NIGE, because this could have been a BIG ONE.

EVEN THE GRAND OLD MASTER OF F1 got it wrong at times.
Riccardo Patrese had a few accidents.
               And this one in particular is well worth seeing again.
